Curb Appeal
Begin with the outside of your home, better known as your curb appeal. Inspect the exterior of your home from a quick glance from the street. What do you notice first? What wonderful characteristics seem to fade into the background?
Acknowledging this helps us to decide what we can do to invite buyers from the street and into your home. If your home's exterior isn't inviting with touched up paint and bright garden plants it's time to get those things done. Follow the Curb Appeal Checklist and add dollars to your home's final selling price.

Welcome Home
Does your place seem to say, "This is Your Next House" to a buyer? Examining your house with a buyer's eye, I'll suggest adjustments that improve sales appeal.
I'll tell you eliminate anything that gives the illusion of clutter. Tabletops should be cleared off. Brick-a-brack, souvenirs, family photos, and play time drawings should get moved out of sight. We need to "de-personalize" the house so buyers can perceive it as their new house.
I know exactly what a room's best features are and how to highlight them. I'll note the pieces of furniture that should be rearranged, rooms that need new paint, rugs needing to get changed, fixtures that need shining, and any other improvement that can inexpensively be made to positively influence the sale.
Buyers' agents know that their clients want a property that draws them in with charm. Anything that could be unsightly should be put away in order for your house to have likability during any visit.

Setting the Stage
I'll tell you when your home is ready to show your home, because all of the changes come together to set the stage for what buyers will expect after they choose to buy your house. Brightness is important and we'll open curtains, and reduce shadows where needed to show off your place. We'll enhance the air of the house with enjoyable music playing lightly and assure a pleasant scent circulates throughout your home. We'll incorporate cozy-looking blankets, and place pillows on your sofa and bedding. Buyers should feel like your home has the potential to be. |
